Held For The First Time

Incubator life meant that our baby girl had never really been held by her Mother, only ever lifted and caressed within the box.

After 3 weeks though Karin was judged to be stong enough to leave the temperature supporting systems and Liliana was given the goahead to hold her and start nursing her.

This was an incredibly emotional time for all of us. The pictures on this page are taken from the first week of Karin's introduction to the world outside the box.

Watchful Mother

Karin, nuzzling into her Mother's chest.

A very proud Mother with her baby daughter.

The nurses made this little bow from the sterile paper gowns have to wear while visiting.

Peacefully Sleeping.

A little wave from our baby girl.
